* Frederick Carl Kuhling was drafted into the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Regina. He was living in Star City, Sask.;and was born on 17 Aug 1897 on Marshall, Lyon County, Minnesota. He was single, and a Lutheran. Frederick was a farmer, and his next of kin was his father, Herman Kuhling, who was also living in Star City. When drafted he was 20 years, 9 months old, 5ft 9-1/2in tall, medium complexion, gray eyes, brown hair.
