Francoeur Guy (Anthony Clarence)

Francoeur, Guy Francoeur, Guy (Anthony Clarence)

Jul 17, 1921 - Nov 29, 2012

Clarence was born in Star City, Saskatchewan and passed away in the Cowichan District Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Velma, sons Brian (Dawn), Rod, and daughter Lisa (Rick), 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He was proud to have served our country in the Canadian Army during World War II and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion since 1948. He worked as a longshoreman for many years and was able to enjoy nearly 30 years of retirement in his own beloved Chemainus home. Clarence loved to travel, was an avid reader, enjoyed nature, loved hockey, loved to talk to people, and enjoyed going to “coffee row” daily. Many thanks goes to the excellent staff of the Cowichan District Hospital for their special care they gave our husband, father, and grandfather. A private family gathering was held to celebrate his life.
